Anyone heard of Vera de Saint Croix? If Fred Franz had got married she would have been the one he would have married. She wasn't his girlfriend but she was a very special lady to him.
That's all I know. Has anyone else heard of her?

No there is no low.
I may have mentioned this here before, but one very loyal sister put an extra 0 on a cheque by mistake. Money was immediately taken out of her account but actually she needed that money. A request was promptly made for the money to be returned. She's still waiting for the money. Meantime this one who is in her 90s has been feeling suicidal because of this. I believe it is well over a year since the money was taken. For a Christian, it would be reflex to return the money, or even to never have taken it without carefully checking whether it was in her best interests to donate such a large amount.
Day of future passed
Yes it is elder abuse. Love of money is the root of all evil and by actions like this the Watchtower show whose side they are really on.

yes, they tell me they have gotten over the whole thing and they tell me that and i need to also.
my exgirl friend who was raised as a jw also has said the same thing.. my children say they got over it, however they are quick to point out how messed up their lives are now because of no college education and other missed opportunities.

The breach of trust is massive. I feel its a public safety issue which others need to know about. Why? So they have a chance to stay free and not be harmed by it. The Watchtower is not the only one that uses psychological/sociological/spin techniques to entrap others.
Ray Franz did what he could and although it took time for me to find him and others like him, I appreciate that someone somewhere was trying to reach out.
We all do what we can. The Bethelite - at least your children have been given a chance to think for themselves.

when a jdub sees that term it may make them think about why i would call myself a survivor.

Brother Sour Grapes, where else can you go to get entertainment like this? Yes these very words were express from the platform at my ex-KH.
The brother was actually asking for donations and said that if you went to a football match, the ticket cost £20 (can't remember the figure he may have said £60). But coming to the Kingdom Hall was free but we should be generous in our donations because, "where else could you go for entertainment like this?"
